The House
November 15th 2006 11:52
Nobody knew or even suspected that the place was built on a gate; a portal to another altogether unpleasant place. Everybody went about their business which was no business in particular. And if the building had an aggravating habit of leaning suddenly to one side or another and if at certain times of the month the place filled up with fog and the walls occasionally oozed a strange semi-transparent liquid. Well no one guessed that it was anything sinister. So they went on about their business which was no business in particular. And then inextricably the house began to lean not just occasionally but on every occasion and filled up with fog at the drop of a hat. Nobody knew or suspected. Not until it was much too late. One night things, vague inexplicable nasty things began to emerge from the walls. They were all asleep and they didn’t suspect a thing.
